Course Overview: Tailored Private Lessons
This course comprises six private lessons, each lasting approximately one hour. One of our experienced trainers will collaborate with both you and your dog to create a customized training plan that addresses the specific needs and personality of your dog. The lessons will encompass a variety of topics, including:
Introduction to Obedience Training:
Our trainer will provide insights into the fundamentals of balanced obedience training. You will learn how positive reinforcement, reward-based techniques, and consistency can help you achieve your training objectives.
Essential Commands: Sit, Down, & Place:
Your dog will be taught these three fundamental obedience commands, which are vital for establishing positive behaviors.
Recall & Doorbell Etiquette:
Your dog will learn to exhibit good manners around guests, respect entryways, and respond reliably to recall commands. We will also differentiate between nuisance barking and purposeful barking.
Loose Leash Walking: Heel:
We will guide you in achieving safe and enjoyable walks by teaching your dog to walk on a loose leash without pulling or lunging.
Leave It Command:
Your dog will learn to drop items on command and to avoid objects or food. This skill is essential for preventing harmful and destructive behaviors.
Distraction Training:
Throughout the training process, our trainer will introduce various distractions to ensure your dog remains obedient even in challenging situations.
